ThaiNox Milestones :

1990 :

ThaiNox Steel Limited was established on July 30.

1991 :

Promoted by Thailand's Board of Investment (BOI), the joint-venture agreement was signed.

1992 :

The construction of Thainox's Rayong Plant started in January.

1993 :

The Rayong Plant's construction was completed. The first stainless steel coils were produced in November.

1994 :

ThaiNox's Inaugural Ceremony, on 19th May, was presided over by HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana.

1995 :

ThaiNox announced an expansion plan to increase its annual production capacity from 60,000 to 160,000 tons.

1996 :

The construction of the second production line started in January.

1997 :

A second Sendzimir Cold-Rolling Mill (ZRM2) was installed in April.

1998 :

The installation of a Bright Annealing Line (BAL) was completed in November.
1999 : - Annual capacity increased to 120,000 tons.
- ThaiNox was granted with BVQI ISO 9002 Certificate in June.
2000: - The Celebration for ThaiNox’s Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel production of its    500,000th ton.
- Annual production capacity reached 160,000 tons.
- ThaiNox was granted with BVQI ISO14001 Certificate in October.
2001 : The extension of Phase II was completed with an APR line, Skin Pass Mill no. 2 and a tension Leveler, allowing Thainox to increase its annual production capacity to 200,000 tons.
2002 : - ThaiNox was granted with OHSAS 18001: 1999 Certificate in March.
2003 : - The Opening Ceremony of Thainox Research and Development Center   (TRDC) was held in April.
2004: - The Celebration for ThaiNox's Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel production of its   1,000,000th ton was held in February.
- ThaiNox was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and launched    its initial public offering (IPO) in December.
2005: - Batch Annealing Furnace was installed for the production of ferritic stainless    steels.
- Thainox was awarded the OES (Optical Emission Spectrometer) Testing    Laboratory Accreditation – ISO/IEC 17025:1999.
2006 : - ThaiNox has invested 1.2 billion Baht in the installation of a new cold-rolling   Sendzimir mill and other major equipment, to expand its annual capacity to   300,000 tons.
- Thainox was awarded the Hardness and Tensile Testing Laboratory   Accreditation – ISO/IEC 17025:1999, as well as granted the ISO 9001:2000   and ISO 14001: 2000 certificates for quality management standards and   environmental management systems, respectively.

2007 :

- ThaiNox signed the Supply and Distribution Agreement with POSCO Korea, the world’s third-largest firm in the steel and stainless industry. Under the contract, POSCO will act as ThaiNox’s supplier and the distribution agent for its cold-rolled products outside Thailand.
