Austenitic Stainless Steel

This type of stainless steel is non-magnetic. In addition to chromium, typically at a level of 18%, the austenitic stainless steel also contains nickel, which increases corrosion resistance and makes it easy to fabricate. This is the most widely used type of stainless steel. Over 80% of stainless steel consumed in Asia is austenitic grade.
