Ferritic Stainless Steel

This is a magnetic type of stainless steel. It has low carbon content and contains chromium as a main element, typically at 10.5-30% levels. Ferritic steel has slightly higher yield strength than austenitic steel; therefore, ferritic steel finds greater use where there is a risk of stress-corrosion cracking. ThaiNox’s main products in this category include Grade 409, Grade 430 and Grade 439 in 2B (Cold-Rolled Bright Finished) and BA (Bright Annealed) surface types.
